Illustrated with black and white photos and diagrams. Suitable for aviation fans and actual test pilots, this apparently was issued to attendees at the conference. *

Bell County, Texas' Salado Creek has been a feature of the landscape since Native American days. The book contains information about the origins and major attributes of Salado Creek, early American settlers, the grain and cotton mills run by the river water, the periodic destructive floods and their effect on bridges, Indians, the Tonkawas and their activities in the Bell County area, schools, a couple of pages on treasures of gold that have been rumored through history, church activities, the former Salado College, and Stagecoach Inn.

B00144V8AC No copyright date given. This is the Third Edition with a printing of 5000. Paperback with colored dust-jacket. Printed in Varanasi, India. On the title page there is a purple bookseller's stamp with the words Colorama Price that surrounds the printed price (in rupees). Former owner's name written in pen on front endpaper. The paperback has a wrapper that has been slightly stained by water on the lower left hand side. This extends to the yellow inner cover, but is not as noticeable there. The book has flaws due to flimsy production, as is common from many books from this part of Asia, but it is in good overall shape. The book is illustrated with line drawings and photographs, but these are not of the best quality either. The book is as sound as it can be given the previous admonitions. This is a fairly rare and hard to get volume from a distant part of the world.

There is bonus software available to on this disc for PC-compatible computers, but since it is Windows 95 vintage, we do not recommend that it be installed, since we spent 35 or 40 minutes trying to get it to work using the various Windows XP compatibility settings, and running into frequent problems. This difficulty aside, the disc runs fine in any audio CD player.
