669198254000 Bandai Entertainment, 2004, DVD, 100 minutes, Japanese or English sound channels available in stereo and Dolby / 5.1 surround sound, along with subtitles available in English should you want to watch with the Japanese audio. DVD cover plastic is a little wrinkled, but we only opened the case to test the DVD, so otherwise this is a like new DVD. There is a plastic collector's card (7 inches high x 4.5 inches wide) inside as well with a picture of the girl's in uniform on one side and their even shorter restaurant delivery uniforms on the other. DVD menu has some extras, a short video with the Japanese voice actresses on holiday on the real life Shimoji island where the anime series takes place in the future, another is some detailed explanation of the rocket jets used to shoot down the comet fragments that menace Earth. The outer space scenes are good, but in typical anime style the cartoon-styled characters are in contrast to the carefully drawn realistic space backgrounds. Basic plot is girls jump in rockets to blast down earth-threatening comet fragments and then go back to their otherwise eventful lives of teenage / early 20s angst. Warning on back is that this is for suitable for 16 years and up, for mild language and more mature situations. Usually ships with delivery confirmation.
